    new keyboard + mouse

ok so our original dell set packed in. we had to make do with a crappy cheap thing for a few days.

today we got a Microsoft wireless laser desktop 5000

i must say its a really nice pair. very comfy to use.

however it does say that the set is vista compatible and 7 compatible. i cannot install the software, other than the drivers 7 auto installs.

so basically we can use the set but not fully. the hot keys don't work, the quick access key don't work and the media keys wont work.

just wondering if there has been a software update, or if i should not run as vista or xp in compatibility.

    cheers in advance

    Hello,

What do you mean the program cannot install? Did you try running it as Administrator?

This is like the well documented problem with Logitech's setpoint software.
It will install on some windows 7 computers but not others and they have not been able to rectify the problem.

You tried the latest IntelliType from here,

For whatever reason they don't list Windows 7 for the 5000 but it is 6000/7000 (matter of needing to update the page most likely), but I don't see why the one for the 6000 shouldn't work.
