If you haven't already formatted, can you try and install in safe mode using vista compatibility as previously suggested?
To get into safe mode, reboot, during the BIOS or Toshiba splash screen repeatedly hit F8, select safe mode
I haven't formatted yet. I'll try what you said.
Just to know, why do you think it will work in safe mode? what is special in safe mode?

Thank you.

Safe mode is useful when diagnosing many kinds of conflicts. It's basically Windows running with only the bare minimum of drivers and software. The reason I suggested it is because there's a possiblility that other installed software could be blocking the cam software/drivers from being installed. Let us know how you get on ....

I uninstalled the web camera assistant/driver with revo uninstaller, that means also registry files that relate to the driver.
After that I change to safe mode and installed but it is not working..

With the vista driver it says "Preview" but then it also says "problem with CEC_MAIN.exe"

With the 2800B driver it just says "no preview" and then "Graph render fail"

what do you say? maybe it got something to be with NOD32? or windows firewall? maybe some display driver? some other driver?

It's a possibility...
Download the camera assistant software, then completely uninstall all camera software (no need to uninstall drivers). Go offline and turn off or disable all of your security programs. Install the cam assistant software and try again.
Open NOD32 and/or firewall, check the blocked list and the quarantined list for CEC_MAIN.exe. If found in either list, add it to the exceptions list. Restart cam application - and perhaps submit it to NOD32 for testing

I think I'll format my computer even if I don't want to, because it seems the only way.

The CEC_MAIN file is not in the quarantined list and I can't find NOD32 firewall, maybe they don't have one.
