    Drivers for ASUS A7V600-x Soundmax onboard sound


    Just posting up the driver I used for my onboard sound card. It's a 'soundmax' but I used the Realtek ALC650 driver:

    It works fine outputting PCM via the s/pdif port but I've had no success outputting DTS or Dolby Digital.

    In Windows XP I could run Intervideo WinDVD 4/6/7 and DTS / Dolby worked fine. All other software, even when using AC3 filter failed to output anything but stereo.

    If anybody has any success with this please let me know.

    Try this one:
    ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

    Your MB isnt supported by Asus for Win7, but this XP driver; if installed in compatibility mode should work fine.
