    Netbook question

This isn't about win 7 but I'd like to know what this port is on my Gateway netbook. I can't find at info about it on the gateway site on in my manual. Any help will be appreciated.

It appears to be a mini pci express slot.

Most common use on laptops and netbooks is for built in wireless... does you netbook have built in wireless?

Appears to be, seems you can only get SSD and wireless in Mini PCI Express. Thanks for the quick response.

I think it is for a wirelss modem called an Air Card.
AT&T has this service and the cards come in 3 forms.
    USB
    PCI
    and internal version.

Radioshack and other sell them and the subcriptions
I also think Qwest here in Arizona has it.

Oh cool, since I didn't get a model that is 3G enabled I can still get it without a lame USB thing sticking out of the side of my netbook?

I believe so. Here in Arizona it is a big deal and the Acer Aspire One netbook was being sold by Qwest for $99 with the 3G card but you had to sign up for the service for 2 or 3 years for a monthly fee. Whatever that was.

Iggy in the cool part of Arizona
