I've installed the printer I want to use, but every time I restart, it seems Windows 7 adds some network printers, and then changes my default printer. Is there a way to stop this?
joe3zz Welcome to SevenForums,
You have marked the printer you want to use as default? Can you remove the other printers from your network or do you use them sometimes?
Every time I add a desktop shortcut it is automatically added to the start menu. How can I stop this annoying behaviour please Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.
I dunno how else to explain it, but whenver I move a window to the top of the screen, it freakin' auto-maximizes it. It's driving me NUTS! How do I turn it off?
Thanks.
Rob
Got a real issue with Windows 7 and printers,
We used a vbscript in the past to add to shared printers which worked great in XP, however that same vbscript is very hit and miss in a domain environment whereby sometimes printers map, sometimes they don't.
So i moved to using Group Policy...
I've never been bit by this as I always save my work before walking away from the computer, but this may be of help to some of you.

Is there a way to add networked printers at the computer level (e.g. globally across all user accounts that ever log onto the machine)?
As far as I know the only way to add printers is on a per-user basis.
