Stop Windows 7 From Auto Adding Printers

Every time I add a desktop shortcut it is automatically added to the start menu. How can I stop this annoying behaviour please Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.

I dunno how else to explain it, but whenver I move a window to the top of the screen, it freakin' auto-maximizes it. It's driving me NUTS! How do I turn it off? Thanks. Rob

Got a real issue with Windows 7 and printers, We used a vbscript in the past to add to shared printers which worked great in XP, however that same vbscript is very hit and miss in a domain environment whereby sometimes printers map, sometimes they don't. So i moved to using Group Policy...

Is there a way to add networked printers at the computer level (e.g. globally across all user accounts that ever log onto the machine)? As far as I know the only way to add printers is on a per-user basis.
