    phone sync

    Hello

This is my first time with the forum, so please bear with me.

I have had my Blackberry Pearl for over a year. I have never been able to sync up with my laptop. I presumed it was due to Vista. I have since updated my computer and now have Windows 7. I still can't sync. My system does not have Outlook but windows live which is not a selection.

To those who are blessed with computer savvy, please give me the dummies version

    Thanks

Welcome to Windows 7 SUpport Forums.
First off what do want your blackberry to sync with in Windows 7?
Since you dont want it to sync mail because you use Windows Live, what else are you looking for it to sync with ?
May I also suggest that you fill out your system specs.

    Regards,
    Adrian

SC, thanks for updating your specs.
Are you using X64 or X86 OS?
Also how and what do you need your Blackberry to sync with on your PC?

Ok, Sc thanks for filling out your specs.
I'll try and assist you further. However please bear with me as I have expertise with IPhone and ITunes. Are you wanting to sync contacts from some particular software in your pc to your mobile device? Are you using Outlook in Microsoft Office for your contacts?
If so, what version of office?
Also, are you able to connect to your pc with your mobile device and is the device recognised by the pc?
Report back so that we can further assist you.

    Regards,
    Adrian

Does Blackberry not have any software you can download to sync?

My contacts are in my Blackberry, which I want sync'd to my pc. My calendar is in my PC under "windows live" which I want sync'd to my Blackberry. My blackberry does not list "Windows 7 Windows Live" as an option.

    Yes, it does

try reinstaklling BlackBerry Desktop Software and see if that fixes the sync problem.
