Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
64 Bit

the socket A/462 CPU's were not 64 Bit, the CPU must be of 64 Bit architecture in order to use a 64 Bit OS

Windows7 Ultimate 64bit

Whew, a Socket A mainboard... I have one of those too, and I don't bother upgrading it to Win7, since it'd be worthless... (I have Abit AT-7 Max 2 iirc, was the best at it's time...).

If you're building a storage server, DO NOT USE Windows (any kind of Windows for that matter) for it. Windows as storage = sucks beyond believe. You'd be better off with *nix family, they're leaner, faster, and by far more manageable. If you're building a storage server, I suggest you try OpenFiler or FreeNas, see which one fits. OpenFiler uses Linux kernel, so it will support much broader hardware than FreeBSD based FreeNAS, but FreeBSD network code is the speed demon of the network world. Both are VERY EASY to setup, deploy, and maintain, far easier than ANY version of Windows, and both are FREE.

One more thing, if you use either FreeNAS or OpenFiler, you can install the OS onto a flash based storage (high speed CF Card with a CF to IDE converter will work just fine), and use your harddisk(s) purely for storage, since the footprint of those OSes are below 2GB...

My Packard Bell PC has one HDMI socket which at present is connected to my Samsung HD TV. Is it possible to fit another HDMI socket to the PC? This one would be connected to an HDMI Monitor. Thanks jack
