Problems with Western Digital HDD

    It looks like you have a power cable hooked up to the jumpers on the drive. Your first picture the connector on the right. Try removing that connector.

    Do you have a Sata power cable ?
    I have a cable saying SATA on it, going from the PSU (it's black as well, the top of the cable)

    It should say that if its a new/blank drive... I'd RMA the drive and possibly the power supply if there is no way to check the cables, though the drive should be returned... Sorry Sergio....

    How many pins are on the power lead that you have pluged into the HD.?

    I agree with Doc and Ultraplanet.

    Should be only 2 connectors to that drive. Looks like you have 3. Disconnect the one on the far right in the pic, with the white plug.

    Not the red Sata, the other one the power cable on the right.

    Are you sure it's not shown in the BIOS ? ?
    Have you checked to see if it's listed in Disk Management ? ?
    Did it ship with a diagnostics CD ? ?

    100% sure.
    I dont even have windows installed on the machine yet
    and No it didnt
