Need help with iTunes and iPhone on Windows 7!

    Hey all,

Im having a little trouble with iTunes and my iPhone on Windows 7 Ultimate. For some reason when ever i plug in my iPhone to my PC, it will recognize it as a Digital Camera, which it is ment to do, but won't be recognized in iTunes. I tested my iPod Classic 80GB just to make sure there wasnt any other problems but fortunatly itunes recognized it straight away.

    My current PC spec is:
    - Windows 7 Ultimate
    - AMD Athlon 2 x2 2.90GHz
    - GeForce GTS 250 1GH
    - 4GB RAM (2x 2GB DDR2)
    - 500GB SATA 32MB Cache HDD
    - Bullguard 9.0 Beta Antivirus (Firewall Off)
    - Zonealarm Firewall

I have now been looking on the internet for the last serveral hours for help and advice but nothing so far has worked.

    So far i have tried:
    - Uninstalling all apple software and restarting the computer, then reinstalling itunes (didnt work)
    - Reinstalling the drivers (didnt work)
    - Installing iTunes 9 32-Bit, which worked and detected the iphone but only came up with a message saying that i needed to install the 64bit version, which shows in a way that itunes and windows 7 can see it.

I really am now stuck as to what it might be, so anyone that can help me, i will be highly gratefull.

Sorry to double post but has anyone yet thought of a reason to why this might be happening?

I tried ringing Apple Tech Support and they wanted to charge me £35 to help me with an issue thats not my phone! What a joke.

The guy also said that it may be an account issue....? But why would it do that as you dont nessacarly need an account to view whats on the iPhone.

Did you try connecting your iPhone to another PC? Are you having any charging issues with your iPhone?

No, the iphone charges fine. And i have tried connecting to another PC, my laptop with Vista Home Premium 32bit.

Is there anything which i could show you, in the form of a picture, that may help

Update: Just put my iPhone into DFU mode and iTunes recognized it instantly.

    Also, my motherboard is a
    Gigabyte M61PME-S2P with nVidia GeForce6100/nForce430/rev1.0 AMD2+/PCI-Ex1/Micro ATX 2 DDR2 Dual-CH/HD Audio 10/100 LAN/2 SATA 3Gb/s/8 USB2.0 (From box)
