How to stop mouse from waking up sleeping computer
Hello chaps,
I have had this problem before and I googled the answer, and it told me to go to device manager, select the mice section, right click -> properties everything there, go to the power management tab, and deselect 'allow this device to wake up the computer'.
And it worked 100%. However, I recently installed USB 3 drivers and the problem has started again. I know 100% that this is due to the new drivers because when I type 'powercfg lastwake' into the command prompt, the offending device is listed as the Intel USB 3 eXtensible Host Controller.
However, the problem is, that when I select the properties of this driver in device manager, there is NO 'power management tab'. I have checked all the mice drivers, and 'allow to wake' remains deselected. Furthermore, my usb dongle for the mouse is NOT in a usb 3 socket. wtf?
TLDR: how do I stop a driver from waking up my computer if there is no 'power management' tab for it in device manager?
Thanks!
