Unlock BIOS
I think my BIOS was factory locked, because a lot of options on it are greyed out. How can I unlock that to adjust some settings.
I have an Insyde BIOS 1.40

Ignore it for a laptop - they are factory limited, probably even if you build your own laptop.
There's not much you can do. There are ways that include very risky BIOS updates from "shady" places on the net. I would never recommend you go anywhere near this option. They are locked.
Sometimes you can get a couple more options with a key combo like ctl+F1 but you would have to research it and it probably would not give you much anyway.
Well if I cant unlock it, then how would i be able to change the frequency of my CPU, because that is the main reason I want it unlocked.
*Quote ... The P7350 is an OEM cpu aka offroad cpu. Its a stripped down processor for cheaper cost. It doesnt have the propriety Intel technology like IVT or IDA
In other words its not meant to be unlocked/changed
Thats the thing. I want to overclock it without opening up my computer. If anything, ima wait till the warrenty is out.
I also heard there was a trigger switch on the motherboard, that can reset to factory defaults. If i did reset to factory defaults, is there any downside to it?
I had major issues with one of my client's laptop which has system halted message after i tried resetting supervisor password etc. I end up detaching and re-attaching the CMOS battery, and everything was back to brand new, no more power-on or HDD passwords.
I guess the only downside is the warranty, as this no doubt will be evident to the shops if you take it back.
