CD/DVD Burning slow. IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller missing
Hello,
I have one year old HP M9400T that I purchased with Windows Vista 64bit. I have just upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, and after installing Nero, I tried to burn a CD, but burning took a bout 20 minutes (I used to burn a DVD in less than 7). I checked online and saw that in many cases you need to make sure the DVD mode is set to DMA and not PIO, and this can be checked by going to device manager, and checking under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller drivers. The problem is that my device manager doesn't have any "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller drivers" listed. The "DVD/CD ROM drivers" is listed under device manager, and the DVD model: HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH15L showing that it's working properly.
Any idea why this is missing from Windows 7 device manager? or what I can do to resolve this issue?
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks.
