I checked the cables and everything quite a few times. That didn't work. Then, I decided to go back to Vista; and now everything is fine, i.e. both of the hard disks are detected successfully.

I don't know what was wrong with installed Windows 7 (64 bit). Could it be some compatibility issue with some software which makes all the hard disks available?

Check HDD controllers in BIOS if the HDD's are detected there.

Then disconnect all drives (from SATA II port and PSU) except the one you are installing 7 onto. Freshly reformat and clean install 7, then run Windows Update, followed by chipset and other drivers. You can use the guide in my sig. Lastly turn the PC off, connect the HDD's and reboot.

I am sorry, but how do you check that?

    Try updating the drivers.

Yes sir, I did that. But it says it couldn't automatically update the driver for RAID.

I had Uniblue DriverScanner on my laptop. But since that computer is x64, I didn't have any success using that either. Any other recommendations please? Driver updating softwares?

Download HWInfo32 from the drivers guide in my sig, then note the controller and update it. Get rid of driver scanners. They prey on ignorance and are a waste of money.

Thanks for recommending the software. I now know what RAID I am using, but kinly someone could help me locate its driver?

This is the RAID I need right driver for (OS: Windows 7 64):
Integrated Technology Express (ITE) Inc IT8212 ATA RAID Controller

Actually I have tried google and everything but I ended up at that software driveragent who want me to pay for the subscription. :|

I am sorry, but that didn't make any difference. I think driver isn't compatible with Windows 7. Hmm?
