One hard disk not detected after re-installing Win

I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my father's PC. Before we had Vista working on it fine.

Problem is that after reinstalling Windows when I opened My Computer now, I cann't see Disk 1 partitions.

Please help me locate it. Thanks.

Attached is the pic of Disk Management windows when before I installed new OS.

Hmm, this Disk 1 whole row is missing now in the disk management as well.

Sorry. Should have mentioned in the first post.

    I tried that just now.

First, I unplugged and replugged the data cable and power of the missing hard drive. Computer wasn't able to detect that hard drive.

Then, I exchanged the data cable and power supply cables of both hard drives. Turned the PC on. I get the message 'BOOTMGR is missing', and system doesn't start up.

Please help if you can, thanks
