Problems with HP J4580 Printer
Hi All:
New member here. I upgraded my friends HP Desktop (A Pavillion) to W7 and I ran into the same issues as Keith. The printer worked fine with VISTA but then after Win7, Nothing.
I called HP 5 Times. I finally got the HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver (292MB!!) and when I wet ti run it, it told me that I didn't have enough space in the "Default" location.
My C: has ~740 GB of Free Space so that could not be it.
There is a D: Partition that has ~13GB available so I think that is where the Installation file is looking for room. Problem hee is that the D: Partition is the factory Image and there is a BIG Warning lable that comes up if you explore it stating that if you delete ANY files from here, all bets are off! Guess what the HPNGuy told me to do? Yes, delete files form the D:.
I eventually got to the OS Folks in MUMBAI, they remotely controled my machine and they got the same results.
I have tried everything:
Downloaded the Full Driver-feature File- Didn't work
Downloaded the dot4patch_reboot.exe File -Didn't work
Downloaded theHP Officejet Software and Driver Removal Utility-Didn't Work. Actually not even the HP Guys were able to get it to work!!!
So at a point of desperation I thought to scream HEEEEEELP and hope you guys can help me. My friends PC is his Business Machine and he needs to print invoices and the like. Funny thing is that he can Scan and Send Receive FAXes.
HP Tells me that this is a Printer problem and that if I want their help I have to pay.
Somebody help me!!!!
Thanks
