    Printer not connected !!!

    Hi folks,
my printer is driving me insane ...its showing up in devices & printers . ive used a trouble shooting pack which connected it to the home network and until i rolled back the other day(system restore) it worked fine its a kodak aio esp 7, has anyone had a similar issue and found a fix. what is driving me nuts is the printer status is showing low paper and low ink which is why it wont allow me to print despite the printer screen (on the printer) showing that the ink levels are fine & the paper levels also. please help my missus needs her psychology homework printing off and until she qualifies she cant help my mental health thats now affected by my printer!!! thanks in advance

Just a guess, but did you restore to a point prior to the installation of the printer driver and/or software? If so, reinstall them.

If it were me, I would uninstall the driver/software, clean the registry of any keys that obviously related to them, then reinstall the driver/software, and keep my fingers crossed.

realised that i didnt update this post with soloution. at the time it was occuring i tried loads of times to re install software that kept showing false paper/ink levels eventually kodak gave a link to download a sofware removal tool it seems when deleting b4 re install the registry had "bits left over" so i shall put a copy here in case anyone else has issues with the AIO printer
should exe be removed the file to seek from kodak is called " clear utillity for kodak easyshare software "

Forum rules requires that you post a link to the download page, not a direct download.

oops my bad. ok given that this goes back to early febuary i dont have on hand, the download page link .
interestingly when attaching to a post here on 7f there is a exe file allowance of 8.00mb suggesting that the posting of exe's are allowed however im sure you have read the rules thoroughly and seem like a well informed chap. i shall await the removal of the exe posted

I'm not one that generally cares much for rules, but I once got a formal reprimand for doing the same thing, so I was just passing it along. As far as the size of the exes allowed, I don't exactly know, but I have been advised that it is okay to post individual files of the OS, and perhaps of other programs, but not full OSs or apps.
