nVidia was making *nix drivers at least 5 years ago - when I first tried out FC4....

I DL'd a *nix beta build of a driver for my MX 440 that allowed me to still use the generic Framebuffer calls to have really spiffy seemingly graphical boot screens when installing Jackass Gentoo, Bob's pet project...

    oh yeah??
i never knew i havent since i fairly new to linux, Im just surprised graphic manufactures are stepping up to and not loading up drivers to the one with the biggest market share (windows)...
i know most Manufactures only give out drivers for windows...
so im happy that there are drivers for linux (only know 4companies that do this and they are intel amd/ATi, Nvidia and IBM)....

of course solaris and sun but almost no one buys a sun computer for as a home computer...lol
