Hello Tremaine,
That is because your partition is out of space. The next 47MB are part of an extended partition. Basically, it sees from the 47MB partition on to the end as one, larger partition.
Hope this helps,

hit the nail on the head. how did you manage to only have 1% free on c if all of your program files are on d? and the next question is why did you setup an extended partition?
i believe that you can remove the extended partition envelope from around the last three partitions with out messing up d.
sorry the space on the c drive was from me downloading files when i took the screen shot there is actually alot more space free there.also ive had this issue for awhile now.i took space from the d drive and freed it up hoping that i could combine the two 47mb free space with the rest but that didnt work.Heres another screen of how my partitions actually look.Oh and i actually have my programs on C: drive.
and going to move everything from D: to E: and then try to reformat D:
Partition Magic Alternative - Partition Wizard is a magic partition software for Winidows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008 Server and Windows 7.
This may save you some hassle - have a look at the boot disk option - also if you do anything at all to the C: system drive make sure you have a win7 boot disk available as it is possible you will need to perform a start-up repair after changing a system drive
I had the same setup on my system and used Partition Wizard and it worked fine.
I did get an error I believe about the mbr but it was easy to fix, but I don't remember what I ran to correct it. I have CRS (Can't Remember Stuff)
I did do an Image before hand just in case.
