    video card need power

This isnt exactly a windows 7 question but i know you guys know everything, hopefully you can help me out with a quick question; My video card Radeon 4870 has power connectors on the back (or front?) of it. Its on the part thats inside the case, not the part that sticks out, i am in the market for a new power supply, i know back when i bought my 500 watt some of the power supplies didnt come with these connectors as standard, maybe thats not the case anymore but id like to be certain that my new power supply with be able to feed my video card.

My question is can anyone tell me the name of the cable or connectors i would need to make sure the new PSU has?

If the connections on the back of your card are 6 pin connections, then you just need to make sure that any power supply you buy has those 6 pin connectors. Most modern power supplies come with those standard, especially if they are 600W and above.
