with new egg and white it is store credit
From NewEgg, you actually get your money back. I once returned an SSD to them and they refunded the money to my credit card.

That is why I only buy from NewEgg - even if they are a few dollars more expensive. They are serious people. I once complained that the item I bought was offered $40 cheaper 3 days after I bought mine - they gave me a $25 credit to my credit card. That's what I call friendly customer service. And it was not even them lowering the price. It was the manufacturer offering a MIR.

a while back neweggs customer service went to he$$ in a hand basket. after about a year of bad customer service they finally got their act back together. they could not get orders right, you would have to fight them over refunds that you submitted correctly and on time, they would send out the wrong part. this is when i found zipzoomfly. zipzoomfly and newegg are pretty much equal in pricing. i will say since that year of poor customer service newegg seems to come out of it with even better customer service.
