    Sony DVD ROM Not working

    Hi All,

I have been looking on internet from past 1 month now to find a resolution to my problem.

I have installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on my computer, but after I have done so, I am unable to use my SONY DVD Rom (SONY DRU 190A ATA ) it does not recognise any CD-DVD put into it.
If i go to My computer and right click to eject it, it does that, If i try to boot from the DVD it does so,that means it is working absolutely fine.
However after windows loads it does not work.
P.S: There is Absolutely No Problem with the Hardware

    Troubleshooting I have tried:

    * Delete Uppper and lower filters
    * Instal firmwares' and latest drivers
    * tried to boot after disabling the device driver signature enforcement
    * Tried BCDEDIT /SET LOADOPTIONS DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    * Tried In-place upgrade and Custom Install once,NO Results.
    * Tried to uninstall and install the device from the device manager
    * Tried to create a new user account and use it there.

If anyone has any update, please notify me on contact.nitin7@gmail.com and CC it to: v-2ngupt@live.com

Many Thanks to all in Advance!

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then check cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just snug. For laptops you can often clean the power and
data contacts with a pencil eraser.

From another thread, which you could try...

Change the channel. It appears your motherboard doesn't support 2 devices on the same channel. Either that or buy a new optical drive with a SATA interface.
