Are you sure your CD/DVD drive is not Blue Ray
yep, i see my cd/dvd drive and right next to it is the BD. this happened either today or yesterday.
refreshing the screen does nothing.
this is the drive installed on th comp: DVD +/- R/RW 16X 12X +/- DL LS 12X RAM SuperMulti SATA drive
Have you installed any virtual CD-ROM/DVD programs such as Daemon tools or VirtualCD?
bingo to daemon tools.if its not to much to ask cloud you tell me a little about the program? i read the description, but all it really said was that it was a disk imager
It is a program that allows you to mount DVDs and CDs without actually putting them into the DVD drive. The program first reads the DVD or CD (must be in the drive for this) then later when you want to use it, you insert it (virtually from the image created and stored in your harddrive) into the drive (BD-rom - not a real drive but a virtual one) created by the Daemon tools. This is one of the things it does.
I use VirtualCD myself so I'm not as familiar with Daemon.
