One of my partitions erased please help.

i had my 500g c: drive partitioned into two partitions, lastnight i went on my computer and the D: partition was showing and and unformatted space when nothing on it.I then formatted it hoping my files would show up again but nothing.Would a partition file recovery program allow me to get my files back even though i formatted that partition?

Doubtful. Why would you think your files would still be there after you formatted?

Probably not. If you had not formatted there would be utilities to recover the files. After format, unless your life depended on them I would move on. The price for an expert to recover them would be enormous.

About $20,000 USD for 20MB in fact.

Do not use anymore until you have downloaded and installed Recuva
Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download

You just might be pleasantly surprised.
