Safely Remove Hardware - Sata Drive { Rack }

My drives dont show up { 2 x sata in racks } to remove.
So how do i safely stop them to remove , also no option in drive properties to enable quick removal like xp.
I have no probs with xp drive inserted only win7 , yet i can access the drives etc just the safe removal , and nothing shows up in clicking icon in tasktray just other items.

SATA drives are hot swappable, meaning you can plug them in and unplug them to your hearts desire without "safely" removing them

I constantly add and remove a 500Gb and 1Tb SATA drives from my system on a daily basis. Not only do the drives still work, but my data has never been corrupted. This applies to Vista too, no issues there either.

Hotswapping

YES I KNEW THAT , ON MY OLD RIG IT HAS A SATA CARD SO THE STOP OPTION IS NOT REQ , I JUST TURN THEM OFF.
ON MY 2nd RIG WITH XP - ON BOARD SATA I GET THE OPTION FROM DRIVE PROPERTIES AND SHOWS UP IN TASK TRAY AND SAME WITH A VISTA O/S .

BUT I DONT HAVE ANY OPTIONS IN WIN7 , SO I WAS MAKING SURE IT WAS THE O/S OR SETTINGS ETC , BEING NEW TO WIN7 I DONT WANT TO TRY SOMETHING AND IF GOES PEARSHAPED TO BLAME WIN7 , ASK FIRST - BEST POLICY.

ANYWAY I USE EASYSWAP2 RACKS AND THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE EVER HAD IS SEAGATE DRIVES , HAVE TO REBOOT TO RECOGNIZE.
OTHERWISE WD + SAMSUNG HOTSWAP OK AND NO ISSUES EVER.
