    Printing issue

NOt sure if this is Win 7 related or not, but I have a Canon Inkjet MP480 and when I want to print say 5 copies it will only print 1 page at first. So I figure I need 4 more, right? I change the next printing number to 4 so I can get my 5 copies (4+1). Well the second run prints what I asked for the first time, 5 copies. Anyone know how I can remedy this troubling problem? Thank in advance.

    Hi Sam,

Hmm... let's see. What programs have you tried printing from? If you've only use Word for example, try printing from Notepad or Internet Explorer and see if you get different results.

Also, what does your print queue look like when all this is happening?

    Cheers,

I print from Foxit Reader and from Word with the sane results. There is nothing else in the print que while I am printing these jobs. What should I do?

Sorry if you have already tried the following...

    1. Use the drivers/software provided by the manufacturer instead of Windows update
    2. Use the Windows troubleshooter to automatically fix the problem (Right click on the printer's icon in the window with all your other connected devices and click on the troubleshoot)
    3. Uninstall/reinstall the drivers from the device manager
    4. Delete the contents of the C:\Windows\System32\spool\printers folder, and make sure the printer spooler service is set to automatic. Also restart the service.

    1. Use the drivers/software provided by the manufacturer instead of Windows update
    2. Deleted old driver, downloaded from Canon's site and reinstalled
    3. Use the Windows troubleshooter to automatically fix the problem (Right click on the printer's icon in the window with all your other connected devices and click on the troubleshoot)
    4. DONE
    5. Uninstall/reinstall the drivers from the device manager
    6. See #2
    7. Delete the contents of the C:\Windows\System32\spool\printers folder, and make sure the printer spooler service is set to automatic. Also restart the service.
    8. That folder was empty, not sure how to do the latter, setting spooler service to automatic.
    9. On a side note, my wife's laptop which is also running Win 7 (32 bit) does not have this issue with the printer....Could it be my RamDisk configuration and the fact that I am storing my Firefox browser cache on the RamDisk? Most of the printing errors are occurring from PDF's printed from within Firefox.
