    Upgrade questions

    Hello all...

Following some advice I had from another thread I am just about to upgrade my PC with these parts and was wondering if these parts will go well together and work?

Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L iG31 Socket 775 onboard VGA 7.1 channel audio mATX Motherboard - Ebuyer

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz Socket 775 1333FSB 4MB L2 Cache Retail Boxed Processor - Ebuyer

    Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Kit CL5 1.8v - Ebuyer

Western Digital WD5001AALS 500GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM Caviar Black - Ebuyer

And I was also thinking about getting this case:
Envizage LC727-03 2 Bay Black Micro ATX PC Case 500W | Envizage | Buy Online Now!

if you have any other suggestions they will be gratefully received :)

do you have a video card to use with this? if not i would look at getting one. you will not really want to use the on board video. i would suggest that you go with a mid tower for better air flow. 500 watt psu should be fine.

Sorry forgot to mention i already have a nvidia gforce 9600gt graphics card and 530watt power supply.

Well silly me I have already ordered the case! Do you think it will be able to get away with it or should i change it and go with a mid tower? I really had my heart set on that case cause i think it looks sexy lol :)

i just looked at the case. it looks like you will have good air flow with it. over all should make a decent system.

Sorry to bump this thread but I was wondering of getting a better motherboard one which supports more RAM rather than the 4GB one in my original post.

I came across these two and was wondering if they would be better and which one should i go for?

Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L G41 Socket 775 VGA 8 Channel Audio MATX Motherboard - Ebuyer

Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2H G41 Socket 775 DVI VGA HDMI Out 8 Channel Audio MATX Motherboard - Ebuyer

    Thanks
