    Thinking about a new SSD

Im thinking of getting around a 250GB SSD.

Do they last any longer or shorter than HDDs? Will they make my computer faster?

The big question: Is it worth it, or should I go with a 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD?

A 250GB SSD drive is going to cost over $700

Nobody knows for sure on the life, but it seems they will last a good 10 years....so probably longer than most people will want to use them

They will certainly make your computer faster. 250MB/s read speeds coupled with .1ms access times make them crazy fast compared to standard hard drives.

I run an 80GB Intel SSD with my OS and a 1TB 7,200 drive for storage. If you can run 2 hard drives, this gives you best of everything without too much cost.
