Yeah Dell's prices are quite high, so I'm just going with the basic unit without customizing.

Doing a clean install is preferable as well. You will have to buy a version of 7 though so this would be an expense later on down the line. Have you looked at netbooks? just a suggestion HP Official Store — Buy Mini Laptops & Mini Netbooks direct from HP

I already bought Windows 7, so I don't need to buy it again. As for the first link I could only afford the first one and as for the second link those are way out of what I can afford. What do you mean by

The question was: Have you looked at netbooks?

I was saying if you are not looking into netbooks because you are looking at desktops and desktops only, then dont look to far into netbooks as I dont want to divert you from your mission.
