    LG W2252TQ max resolution issues

    Hi Sevenforums,

I'm having issues getting a max resolution(1680 x 1050) on my 22" monitor with windows 7 64bit pro and a ATI Radeon 4850x2. I've pretty much done every single basic thing you can do to troubleshoot this issue: Reloaded Drivers(old and new and old again), Search Google, and manufacture site support, etc.

So its been 2 weeks since I've been using windows 7 x64 from Windows XP x32 and its just does not seem all the hype if I can't use my max screen resolution for all my apps and video feeds.

If anyone knows a solution to this problem it would be very much appreciated.

At the moment I'm at 1152 x 864. That is the highest I can get before it will blackout and revert to a smaller screen size.

The monitor drivers don't work when installed/loaded it errors and doesn't give any options to change or use any of the settings. I've uninstalled the graphic drivers and installs the monitor drivers and still doesn't work.

    I will rephrase...

Extract the referenced driver to a folder.
In Device Manager, select your monitor.
    Update driver.
    Navigate to referenced folder.
    Select INF file.

I had no option for Select INF file. It was only a exe file and folder ?

I don't know if you have tried this but it might work.

either try to change the resolution using the catalyst centre ati

or under screen Resolution click advance option

under the adapter click on list all modes - click and change

and see if you can change select it there

The file I provided a link to is a ZIP file containing a cat icm and inf file set.

I cannot help you if we are not on the same page.

Ok when I open the device manager and try to update the drive it will only bring up the folders and not show any of the 3 other files.
