Hard Drive Always Corrupted

    It's not a hardware problem... it was a broken hardlink... a setup issue.

    It never hurts to ask if the HDD is getting the SATA click of death though. You never know, he might have been hearing this, and failed to mention it.

    Ok... am I missing something here?

    What is this SATA click of death thing? I have a couple of hundred computers I'm supporting and 99% of them are on SATA drives... Do I need to be worried about this? What causes it? Is there a fix other than replacing the drive?

    AND... why is this the only place I've ever heard of it?
