    SATA II backwards compatible?


    Are SATA II drives compatible to put in my laptop with a SATA I connection? The drive I want is SATA II, and 2.5".

    Yes, but you'll be limited to SATA I speed.

    Yea I'm fine with that, I just wanted to know because i found a good SSD deal that is cheaper than the SATA drives. Rep+
