Citizen GSX-230 Ribbon Printer Issue

Hello Forum, i just recently put together another pc, installed windows 7 home premium, everything runs just fine, but i have a little bump here...

i have a really old citizen printer that even with the power on, windows just doesn't detect it, i've tried looking for drivers and nothing, tried on device and printers to check if i could add it manually but the printer is not even on the list... there are some brands like canon, epson, hp... but citizen isn't there...

anybody had an issue like this before??

any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Are you sure you can't use the Add Printer function?

Start > Control Panel > Devices & Printers > Add Printer (On Toolbar)

That's the only suggestion I can find online.

Done! Thanks, i updated the printer's list and it came out as a Citizen GSX-190, actually the one i have is 230 but it wasn't on the list, only 190 and 240, the 240 gave me a problem while printing... the 190 works just fine!

Thanks again, Forum!

Punkster is to be commended

Your report
(of success in using ver 190 driver, and of failure in using ver 240 driver)
is a service to others.

Were it not for your report, I might not have thought to try the 190; it works also for me.
(240 fails also for me).
