    Recap

    Start > Run "cmd"
    type--> diskpart
    type--> list volume
    type--> select volume #
    type--> attributes disk clear readonly

    Thx!!! this thing help me to solved my unwriteable external HDD problem
    for those who failed, keep trying and try pull out the external disk and try to other usb ports... it works for me at least

    owh... before forgotten, after a successful with Diskpart, exit diskpart then run 'Attrib' command
    Code:
    "x:\>attrib -r /s /d"
    where x:\> is ur disk, /S is Search the pathname including all subfolders and /D for Process folders as well

    Hello all,

    just registered for this forum to say thanks. Great advice and it still works to date!! If your hard drive is read-only, just follow the recap from neydencho and it'll work. Thnx.
