ive just done another trawl through the net and all i find are pay for drivers , the only thing i can suggest now is to contact Kingston and see if they can supply the XP driver from their archives
This is out of my range of knowhow but looking at this statement here from kingston faq page Kingston Technology Company - Support - FAQ for Data Traveler
and what this post I'm quoting say's, could this be something not being enabled in the bios?

derekimo, thats normally enabled by default, and as you see from the OP's first post he as the correct standard usb drivers installed and working ( he is using a usb mouse) so the problem could only be with the data traveler ( possibly firmware)
to be honest i think its most unlikely that kingston will supply the driver, but you never know we will have to wait and see if the OP follows this through
