    Possible HDD failure

I think my internal HDD might be starting to fail. The machine is still under warranty, and I am backing up all my files just in case, but does anybody have recommendations on what to do in the case that it is failing?

Download Ultimate Boot CD and run a HDD diagnositc to see if your assumptions are correct. If it is failing, send it back and get it replaced.

As a quick check I would run CHKDSK /F in elevated cmd. That takes only a few minutes (depending on size).

    Already on that.

I kind of meant "Besides the obvious getting it replaced, what do you suggest I do to keep my laptop serviceable until I CAN get it replaced?"

Sorry for my lack of eloquence earlier. I suck at getting my thoughts across in typing.
