    "Consider Replacing your battery"

I have a brand new custom built HP HDX16t (Yes they stopped making those) but i bought it back in October 2009.

Apparently windows thinks my battery is dead but its brand new! I do have my HP under warranty.

I think i might just go linux if this is windows 7 issue.

Should of got a macbook pro

Edit: Okay the message went away but it is at 85%. Considering it was 1% 10 minutes ago i don't find that likely.

It's a new feature that lets you know if you need a new battery based on various algorithms that calculate your batteries capacity. You'll want to make sure you charge to full and run it down to empty, then refill. This will allow it to calibrate.
