    Ah, the CD that came with mine is 7.0. Maybe that's why it seems outdated.
    I'll see if I can't update it and fidget around with it...

    Thanks, that worked! I just told the software I was using a different wireless mouse, and now it works properly. LOL

    Stupid Microsoft, fix your drivers already...

    By any chance have you considered the mouse itself is bad?
    Have you tried another mouse to try and eliminate the present mosue having faults.
    Just a thought to help track down the problem.

    Nah, the mouse is fine... it works perfectly except for various glitches with scrolling.

    But the suggestion to pick another mouse from the list worked fine.
