One thing to watch for is the wattage of the CPU from the CPU supported list. For example Newegg has all of one Athlon 64 x2 showing on their site,

    Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

that will not work with that motherboard as it is the 125W version, and according to the support list the board only supports up to the 89W version of that CPU.

You're welcome, nJoyo. As a matter of fact, that is the CPU I have in my system (see my specs).

    You're welcome.

In fact, according to the website, my m/b only supports the 89W version, but is quite happily running with the 125W version (this was a m/b and CPU bundle).

This is what my m/b supports. Note that the processor I have installed was the fastest at the time, and that faster processors have since been added.

A quick check shows that board can do these processors:
    AMD Athlon 64 FX/ Athlon 64/ Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core/ Sempron processor
The Athlon64 FX being the best one.

You will have to teach me how you are getting a Core 2 Duo to run on that motherboard.
    Wait no Intel?!?!?!
