90°C safe temp?

    Thats' about where my L300d runs... A little cooler if you enable CPU throttling but that does come with a bit of a performance hit...

    Only on the desktop. The Cpu will pegg, along with the memory as needed. Yes, your desktop will be less responsive, other than that, it will be fine. It's crazy to run a notebook on "High Performance", I can't imagine. Even with a performance battery, plus a spare...

    Well most of the time my laptop is plugged in. But besides that, there is only balanced, and power saver on my laptop.

    If you can keep it around 50-C you'll be fine. At least your monitoring your system, which is more than can be said of most laptop users. That's half the battle.
