HP Printer Problem
I have read loads of threads but none helped me with this... I own an HP 9800d deskjet printer which has been faultless for about 5 years, up to the upgrading of Vista to Windows 7. Now, not only can I not get any driver from HP - who say to let Windows sort it - but the Windows 7 driver totally ballsed thing up.
When printing the odd little thing like a short web article, nothing seems wrong until you notice the web page numbers run off the right top of the page and the URL and date etc run off the right bottom of the page.
Now I discover, while printing an invoice, printing stops about 5cm short of the bottom margin, leaving off essential info. (Paper is set ok at A4 everywhere as default ).
I have tried just about everything, including XP/Vista drivers, running HP Diagnostic Utility, which found everything OK, and researching all the printer and page defaults. All OK. If someone can tell me how to flush out everything to do with the printer so I know I have a clean start - it may help. I have tried the obvious ways, but I reckon some bits get kept.
Has anyone experienced this? I'm open to all suggestions (not the rude one's!).
I am awaiting a response from HP and will post it here when I get it.
