    net-md MZ-N510 TYPE-S


    hey guys im trying to make my old net md player work on windows 7 but i it always says that the os coudlt instal the driver and i cant find anything that will work on the net so if anyone have manage to make this thing work id like to know how. This way sonic stage will see the player and ill be able to use it again.

    are you using windows 7 64bit or windows 7 32 bit ?

    ah sorry - just looked at the info under your signature - i managed to get mine to work under windows 7 32bit - try i did , it just wouldn't work under windows 7 64bit .

    thanks Woody but I just managed it myself. I am Running Win7 x64 and surprisingly, Virtual PC and XP environment solves the issue.. suddenly 32bit drivers work just fine. Therefore I had to instal SS, codecs, drivers and so on from scratch on Virtual Machine but finally it worked. USB under virtual XP can be a real pain in the tit.. I had to plug charger into my medieval Net MD to keep it alive during transfer, because it was simply switching it off (with battery fully charged).

    Yes - sorry - forgot about XP mode in VM - it was such a pain, I didn't consider it a viable option - I downloaded a 90 trial of windows 7 enterprise 32 bit from microsoft & archived it before activating (with Acronis True Image) & used that - every 90 days I restore the unactivated acrchive & get another 90 days

    yeah.. it can be a pain... I know.. some of my mates are using original Microsoft software too..
