Fn Key Function

I just bought the HP - ENVY Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7 Processor and when i was playing a game I could use the hot keys. I had to press Fn+f1-f12. Is there a way to switch the Fn key so that I dont have to press it to use F1-F12 and instead press it so that i can change the brightness, play/pause, stop, etc?

Press F10 when your computer starts up. there's an entry in the BIOS that relates to ACTION KEYS.
