    How to replace keyboard in an Acer 7720Z Laptop


    I haven't really looked at the Laptop to see how to dissassemble it to replace the keyboard (I have a replacement on order). It may not really be much of a problem once I look at it. The Acer users manual doesn't go into any parts replacement (other than adding memory or replacing the hard drive) and their "tech support" is of no help.

    If someone has a link to something that would help, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks but that doesn't specifically cover my Acer. I tried the top plastic strip suggestion and the strip will not come off unless I use "brute" force and looking at what I did get loose I don't see any mounting screws for the keyboard.

    I finally found the service manual on line http://www.devicemanuals.com/downloadguide.php In order to get the top strip off, that is referenced in the video, there are two screws in the battery compartment that must be removed... Bingo.
