Where can I buy a mobile AMD?

Is there any place i can buy a mobile AMD proccessor with the socket (from CPU-Z) Socket S1 (638). All the mobile processors on newegg are intel. Is it even possible to upgrade my CPU?

AMD has a "Shopping" website where you can check prices from various retailers. They do it for video cards and motherboards, and I think CPUs too. It's a pretty good search engine. Probably your best bet beyond going to eBay.

    The site is at http://game.amd.com/us-en/shop_spotlight.aspx

Anything from a TL50 to a TL68 should fit the socket.

Those are pretty old CPUs (from 2007). Maybe you want to look on Ebay or Amazon.

That's a good link. The TL64 seems to be the fastest model they offer: STARMICRO INC. - Detail

Only 2.2GHz? I was looking for at least 2.6 GHz, as it wouldnt be much of an upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2

In any case, the fastest is a TL68 at 2.4GHz. That's the end of the line. Let me give you a hint: Look at an SSD instead. That will make your laptop a lot faster than a new CPU and is much easier to install.
