    Phantom drives

Hi all, first off I will give you specs. Have a strange problem with two new builds.
    first computer
    full tower nzxt case
    850 kingwin PSU
    2.66 CPU
    12 Gigs patriot mem
    2 260 OC evga cards
    P6t deluxe V2 MB
    dvdrw
    USB floppy drive
    3 hdd
Everything works so great except I keep getting a phantom floppy drive. I have a Lacie usb floppy drive connected to my rig, when first set up it shows as the A drive, after a shut down I get 2 floppy drives A,B, Then A drive is worthless, I believe it to be an ide connected drive, which I do not have. If I disconnect the usb floppy and delete all floppy drives and then plug the usb floppy drive in I have all my drive configurations complete, all is good. When I reboot I get the same thing. Is this a bios thing: or is there something in Win 7.
    Build 2
    ultra mid tower case
    kingwin 850 PSU
    2 HDD
    12 gig patriot mem
    2 evga 9500 cards
    1 dvdrw
    usb floppy
There again I get 1 phantom drives, but it is the dvd drive I get a phantom. It shows drive D and a drive F. The D drive is the dvd, but the F drive is really not there. This is really not a big problem but I would like to know if I can do something about this. It is annoying me. Is there anything I am doing wrong.
