Tablet PC Windows Journal convert to text help

    Hey everyone,

I love Windows Journal but I can't convert my writing to text ... it says:

The requested command cannot be completed because required components cannot be found. If this problem persists after restarting, contact your system administrator.

    Hi Ironslave,

When starting this program try right clicking on the .exe and selecting Run as Administrator.
If that doesnt work right click select Properties click on the compatibility tab and select to run as XP service pack 2

    I hope this helps

Thank you very much for trying to help.... but for some reason I cannot change any of the permissions in the properties --> compatibility tab... any idea why?

Should I download XP service pack 2?

You confused me for a moment, I do not know why you cannot change compatibility, are you running as Administrator? if not try it
Otherwise try right clicking on the .exe and selecting Troubleshoot compatibility, maybe this will work for you.

Hmm, should I call Microsoft or hope it fixes by RTM?

I can save things fine, but its just the text conversion. (not the end of the world, but it'd be nice to have)

It seems to come and go depending on the build of 7 so I presume they know about the problems. It still might be worth contacting Microsoft, as there could be a workaround. for build 7100
