    Hello,

    I currently own a Lexmark X9575 connected to my home network through an ethernet cable plugged directly into the router, everything is working fine although I have one issue. Whenever I need to install the printer on computers it also installs Lexmark's awful software along with various other things that I generally do not want, I have searched high and low within the setups settings and have been unable to find a way to turn it off.

    I have tried adding it through Windows by telling it that it's a network printer where, it shows up however when I select to install it a driver is requested by Windows. On another computer I have tried extracting the install files and pointing Windows towards there although it seems that after it has installed I am unable to print.

    Is there a way to print without having to install Lexmark's awful software? I would also like the ability to retain scanning and as such does Windows support network scanning?

    I have included the directory structure and files of the extracted driver to hopefully assist in my problem.

    Unless someone has extracted the drivers from the software, I doubt there is a way to install them without the software. Your best bet it just to install the entire package and then remove the components you don't want afterwards.

    Damn it looks like I will be stuck with Lexmark's awful software for longer than I hoped.
