Hello Palz,

Have you turned off your page file, or set it to be a low size instead of letting it be System managed?

Hello Nurse Brittney, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition to checking the above suggestions for Palz, are you low on hard drive space?

Hope this helps,

not particularly full, 74.4gb free of 223gb.
I have 4gb of ram, Intel Core Duo T6400 2.0ghz processor.
I have the 64 bit version, if that makes a difference.
Ive removed a ton of background stuff that were running. It ran like a dream for the first six months and recently it has started lagging. It takes a while to start up and sometimes takes 10 minutes to shut down, staying in the "logging off" screen for most of that time.

Ive ran cleaners and registry checkers. Says all is well, but obviously something is wrong.
