    Major Bluetooth headache

Hey all, I am new but I tried to search the forums with no luck...and I am just a novice user!

Have a 2.5 year old Fujitsu laptop that came with Vista and also built in Bluetooth. I recently did a clean install of 7.

I have an "unknown device" in device manager and this must be the bluetooth adapter. Fujitsu only has a Vista driver that does not work, I also tried bluesoleil and that did not work, nothing I can do seems to get windows to recognize the device, I have tried windows searching for a new driver as well.

This is what it says when I right click on the unknown device :

    on Intel(R) ICH7M/U LPC Interface Controller - 27B9

I have Windows updated as of today, I also made sure that bluetooth is running in services...

Any help, I am a newbie but this is driving me a crazy!!

THANKS in advance for any suggestions or ideas!!

PS, I hope this is the right forum for this, please move if not!

    Thanks for the reply Tews!

So, I went back to the Fujitsu support page to DL the vista driver again, I also dL'd the hotkeys and lifepanel which I never got around to before. Those seem to work, at least hotkeys did as when I hit the volume button I know get the display on screen...anyways, my point of mentioning that is after I did that and went back to device manager the unknown device is gone. Weird!

I did install the bluetooth driver in Vista comp. mode. It asks me to attach the BT device...obviously this is not correct, but I hit cancel and it installed and it now shows this in Hardware & Sound:

    BlueTooth Local COM

When I try to run it I get this:

Bluetooth stack for windows from Toshiba is incompatible with this version of Windows.

The online solution options do not work!!

After messing with this most of the day I am resigned to live w/o bluetooth, after some Googling this seems to be a serious flaw with 7 that others also have!

Well after some more trys I uninstalled the driver and the bluetooth com does not show up in hardware and devices anymore, and oddly neither does an unidentified device in device manager.

So at this point I am not sure what to do other than leave it alone and give up on the bluetooth, but if there is a way to get 7 to recognize the hardware please let me know!
