I see no issues with the optical drive.
Are you capable of using your device manager to un-install the drive and reboot and let OS7 find the drive and re-install it?
Yes you mean the CD-Rom Drive?
and may i ask by OS7 do you mean win 7?
once again sorry i am no expert please forgive me
    No worries Matey.
Hmm, b4 you start, did you build this system?
I see that the device manager shows the drive as a scsii device. Not ATA.

    Un-Install

Ok, John-here is what I suggest you do:
    1. Close all applications down.
    2. Go to your device manager.
    3. Click over your optical drive.
    4. Touch your right side of your mouse.
    5. You will see a dropdown menu.
    6. You will see uninstall, left click it and un-install your optical drive.
    7. After it has competed the operation, reboot your system.
    8. Since this drive is a "Plug and Play " device Windows 7 will detect it and install it as new hardware.
    9. Follow the promp that says it will Install automatically.
    10. At completion reboot.

Try a burn and report back your results.
